Fred Marcellino's

"Fred Marcellino (1939-2001) was an illustrator and designer with an unusually broad range in today’s era of specialization. He was in many ways a revolutionary force in two separate careers, having in the 1970s and 1980s changed the way book jackets are created, and in the 1990s having elevated the nature of the illustration of children’s books, eventually turning his attention to writing them as well."

Life Without the Web

The last 10 years have been a blur. I had two kids, produced several graphic novels, moved to Vermont, bought a house, and started a college...
I monitor the Amazon ranking of my books on an hourly basis, and I'm constantly searching for comments and discussions about my work.

Sometimes those uber-talented, Disney-trained artists can't shake the Disney style and find their own. Not so for Susan Gal.

My email

Hi there,

I came across your blog and loved the content. I just finished working on a book about animals that should be published in April, and was wondering if I could get a little post on your site to let people know of my existence:)...

Anyway, if you are able to post a jpg(I attached all the spreads) of one of the illustrations I sent(people seem to like the underwater scene) and my contact info, I would truly appreciate it...

Thanks,

Jonathan Miller
